Must have
"Lightweight, looks great on the bike and matches perfectly. It’s a must have."
Should you get a rear rack for your bike? The simple answer is yes.
A rear bike rack allows you carry surprisingly heavy loads on the strongest and most stable part of the bicycle frame. Cyclists in Europe have understood this for decades—which is why nearly all European city bikes come equipped with a rear rack as standard.
Our rear rack is crafted from lightweight tubular alloy, making it strong, durable, and capable of carrying up to 45 lbs of cargo. Aside from the default silver color, select racks are painted to match some of our bike colors, so you can choose a perfectly coordinated look—or mix things up with a bold and fun contrasting color.

"Easy install and exactly what I was looking for."
"I am not installing this on a public bicycle, I bought it for my classic Schwinn High Sierra I am turning into a gravel commuter. The design of this rack fir perfectly into my plans for the bike and even the color matched the other items I have already purchased or plan to. Just because you bike is not made by public bicycles, does not mean it cannot work on your particular frame. I think I chose wisely here."
"Love the wide range of colors Public has available for this rack. I went with the British Racing Green. It is maybe a tad lighter in color than the website photo reflects but it still looks sharp. I fit this on a 17. 5 in. Trek Allant with 700 cc tires, over a rear fender."
"Fits perfectly!"
"I ride a Public V7 and it was simple to mount to the frame and appears solid so far. I haven’t yet had the chance to test it with any particularly heavy loads, but I don’t have any doubts that it’ll work."
"The rear rack I purchased back in 2015 (same model) featured a spring top and additional cross bars which was much more useful for securing items and mounting a grocery basket."
"God quality"
"I'm very satisfied with my rack. I installed it myself, with some difficulty. The instructions included were poorly written and the pictures were hard to interpret, particularly the positioning of the struts."
"Got to get the rack for convenience. Glad it came in red to match with the bike."
