Smooth Ride

"I love my new bike! It’s a very smooth ride and looks very chic. 😀. I wish I would have had you put it together but I did figure it out."

Infatuated with my bike

"I am so glad I read reviews before buying my PUBLIC bike. I had wanted a different brand originally, but it cost several hundreds more. I read reviews for both brands and came out certain that PUBLIC was the better bike, and I'm still convinced. Easy shifting, gorgeous styling, and a great ride."

Jaime L. (5/5)

Love this Dutch style bike!

"We love this bike - we have 2 and just bought another one for our adult son. Comfortable and easy to ride - with a more upright feel than most American bikes. The bike is also very stylish - we have lived in the Netherlands and wanted something similar to our beloved “fiets” and this one fits the bill perfectly."

Ingrid M. (5/5)

"Great bikes. Retro styling."

No instructions

"We knew to expect some assembly but not to the extent that it required and there were no instructions included. I can't even be sure that all the parts are present as there is no inventory of what should have come in the box. We are taking it to a local bike shop to have them finish the assembly and check it over to make sure it is safe for riding."

Sarah J. (3/5)

nice bike, nice experience.

"received the bike in good shape. box was split at one end, but everything OK. very easy to assemble, we were test-riding in about 20 min. good looking product, nice details on this very affordable, but handsome bicycle."

Thomas W. (5/5)

Just want I wanted.

"I am pleased that this style of bike and of this quality is available. 🙂"

Colleen M. (5/5)

LOVE my C7!

"Just got an email reminder to leave a review as I was getting home from riding my C7 to a nearby neighborhood coffee shop. I LOVE this bike!! I seriously couldn't be happier with it, this is my first bike in about 20 years and it's exactly what I was hoping for. Also Public has literally the best customer service ever."

Grace F. (5/5)

C7 Canary ❤️

"I bought it for my wife, but I do ride it all the time. Really like the canary color. The bike is well made and I like the way it rides. I chose to do the assembly myself, and don't regret it. I can see that being an issue if you are not mechanicaly inclined. It took about an hour and a half to get everything set up properly, the assembly itself took about 45 minutes, I just wanted to get the right tension on the brakes, and the right wheel alignment. Mounting the rear rack took about another 20 minutes. Less"

Q&A

Hi! I have the C7 and love it. I’d like to add a bottle cage, but the ones you have seem to exclude the C models. Are you planning on including a cage that is compatible with the C models? If not, any alternatives you can recommend? Thank you!
Thank you for your inquiry! We offer a convenient handlebar-mounted adapter that allows you to attach any water bottle cage to your handlebar. This provides easy access to your beverage while riding. https://publicbikes.com/collections/accessories/products/velo-orange-handlebar-mount-bottle-cage-adaptor-silver Let me know if you have any other questions.
Is there a weight limit?
Hello, there is not a specified weight limit on the C7. Keep in mind that heavier riders will increase stress on all bicycle components and exacerbate wear on components such as spokes, brake pads, chains, and tires.
I live in a town with a lot of steep hills is c7 alright with hills?
Hi Emily, Absolutely! The C7 has 7 gears and does quite well on hills. That being said our lightest bike with the largest gear range for steep hills will be the C9; https://publicbikes.com/products/public-c9?variant=32342264250431 Cheers
Hi, what is the width, length and height of a C7? I couldn't find the specs for the actual bike as i have just purchased one. Thanks!
Hello Sugar! Thank you for reaching out. We don't specifically list these measurements, but here they are. One is the full length of the bike, one is how high the middle bar is ( also known as standover height), and the other is how tall the bike is at its tallest point ( height ). Also, I attached an image showing the width, which would be the handlebar width and I presume is the measurement you were looking for. Let me know if you have any further questions!
How wide apart are the handlebars?
PUBLIC Brunch Bar, steel, 570mm wide
