Pre-Order Terms & Conditions

We understand that pre-ording a bike may be confusing and sometimes frustrating. Below, are some frequently asked questions, and answers, that can hopefully clarify any questions you may have. Please look through these before contacting us directly. We are committed to getting you riding as quickly as possible!



A pre-order refers to a item that is either new or is not currently in stock and will be available at a future date. Select items listed as a pre-order are available for purchase in advance and will ship once they become available. Full payment is taken in advance in order to guarantee you that specific item.


The "Estimated Pre-Order Availability" of an item refers to when we predict that item will become available for pre-order. These dates do not reflect when you will physically receive your bike. Each item available for pre-order will have its own specific shipping window on the product page. These dates are not always guaranteed, but we will do our best to update our site with any changes.


As a result of COVID-19, supply chains are experiencing significant delays in manufacturing, delivery, and transit. Please understand that these estimates are not always guaranteed, as production can be subject to external factors that are beyond our control and may result in your pre-ordered item shipping at a later date. We do not offer discounts or credits for delays that occur following the placement of a pre-order.


Full payment is taken in advance in order to guarantee you that specific item.


We try to get pre-orders processed and shipped out quickly after they are received. Because of this, you may cancel or change any pre-orders through the week prior to the estimated shipping window. Our standard return and exchange policy is applicable to all pre-orders.


Shipment of any in-stock items on the same order may be delayed until your pre-order item is ready for shipping. To ensure faster delivery of your in-stock items, we recommend making two separate orders - one for your pre-order items and one for your available items.


To be the first to know when we restock, we recommend signing up for our back-in-stock notifications. To sign up, click “Notify Me When Available” on the product page, and you’ll receive an email confirmation when we receive additional inventory or if that model becomes available for pre-order. This is the easiest way to stay up to date with product alerts from PUBLIC. These items are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
