V Model Size Guide
Find Your Size
A bike that fits properly is more fun to ride. The guides below offer size suggestion based on height in inches. If you have measuring tape, you may also determine your size by measuring your leg length plus one inch, which is your stand over measurement. For all bikes, we recommend at least 1 inch of space between you and the top tube of the bike. When in doubt, contact our customer service team via email at customerservice@publicbikes.com.
PUBLIC V1, V7, V7i |
Frame Size | Rider Height | Effective TT | Standover Height |
Small/Medium - 46cm | 5'2" - 5'8" | 55.8cm | 29.5" |
Medium/Large - 54.5cm | 5'9" - 6'3" | 58.9cm | 32" |
PUBLIC V9 Aluminum |
Frame Size | Rider Height | Effective TT | Standover Height |
Small - 46cm | 5'3" - 5'6" | 55cm | 29.5" |
Medium - 50cm | 5'7" - 5'10" | 57.5cm | 30.8" |
Large - 56cm | 5'11" - 6'3" | 60cm | 32.5" |
*Please note: some riders may be a little outside of these height range recommendations but prefer the feel of a larger or smaller bike. Stand over height measurement is not as important as how the bike geometry feels while it is being ridden.
With thoughtful changes to the geometry and components, as well as a reintroduction of this model; we can confidently say that the new PUBLIC V7i is our most affordable internally geared, steel-frame city bike to date.
The durable drivetrain features Shimano's Nexus 7 internally geared hub allows you to shift gears seamlessly without having to pedal, whether you're stopped at an intersection or coasting. This feature is what sets it apart from our externally geared derailleur bikes and makes it ideal for stop-and-go city riding. With the gears sealed in the rear hub, the PUBLIC V7i is also more impervious to bumpy roads, bad weather and all the challenging conditions that daily city riding dishes out.
Nothing is excessive or overdone in the design of the PUBLIC V7i. We’ve included minimalist, reflective decals and an updated cockpit that sports our alloy PUBLIC Brunch handlebars, Premium City Grips and a negative rise road bike stem for sportier city riding. Comfortable enough for everyday trips and reliable enough to be your commuter workhorse, the PUBLIC V7i comes equipped with durable double-wall wheelset with color matching rims. Strong alloy dual pivot brakes ensure fast and safe stopping rain or shine. High quality polished and anodized fenders protect you from road grit and make sure you arrive looking sharp, and the integrated alloy chain guard keeps your clothes clean and dry.
The PUBLIC V7i brings a level of quality at an affordable price that's hard to beat. As with all our bikes, we offer our unique Ready to Ride shipping option that delivers a fully assembled bike right to your doorstep.
