A bike that fits properly is more fun to ride. The guides below offer size suggestion based on height in inches. If you have measuring tape, you may also determine your size by measuring your leg length plus one inch, which is your stand over measurement. For all bikes, we recommend at least 1 inch of space between you and the top tube of the bike. For children’s bikes, smaller bikes are always easier for beginners.

*Please note: some riders may be a little outside of these height range recommendations but prefer the feel of a larger or smaller bike. Stand over height measurement is not as important as how the bike geometry feels while it is being ridden.
While biking with children is now becoming more common in US cities, starting early is the key to teaching your little ones the joys of riding a bike. We designed the Sprout Mini kids' balance bike to be the first bike for the next generation of urban citizens.
The balance bike design is a smart way to get kids started on bikes, that's much more intuitive for little ones than the rattling training wheels we grew up with. "Less is more" is Public's design ethos, and by eliminating the pedals and chain, kids can use their natural instincts to balance with their feet and easily scoot around without fear of falling.
Unlike traditional balance bikes, the Sprout Mini now features lightweight, airless tires that will never go flat, allowing for use on and off the road without a worry. Your little one can zip around just as smoothly as a pedal bike does. Just like you'd expect on a PUBLIC bike, the Sprout Mini features a low-entry design and allows for a wide range of seat and handlebar height adjustments to grow with kids starting from age 2. Kids love them, they look great, and they're tons of fun.
You'll receive a 99% assembled bike delivered to your door with simple instructions and the few tools needed to complete the finishing steps.

PUBLIC has tested and met all CPSIA 101/F963 safety standards for children 2 and up, including chemical and mechanical testing. Intended to be used under close and constant adult supervision. Minimal adult assembly required.

This product conforms to the toy safety requirements of ASTM F963 and CPSIA 101. Adult supervision is required at all times. Never leave a child unattended while riding. This product requires assembly by an adult. For ages 2 to 6. Always wear a helmet. Some states require riders under 18 to wear a helmet. Please check your local laws.
