We designed the PUBLIC S7 to meet the needs and requests of our customers who asked for the most affordable, high quality city bike in the market. Here it is, our newest lightweight, easy-shifting, seven-speed bike designed for stop-and-go city riding. Color options include our Red, Silver, and Black. We challenge you to find a better, more affordable multi-speed, steel-frame city bike with matching fenders, chain guard, and kickstand. At this price it might be considered our most PUBLIC bike. It does not have some of the styling details, options, and sizes of our more expensive models, but it rides like butter and the frame is guaranteed for life.

With its curved, open, step-through frame design, it is often referred to as a Dutch bike. It is especially well suited for those who wear skirts or prefer not to swing a leg over a typical frame crossbar. The PUBLIC S7 embodies old-school aesthetic charm with modern components.

Signature PUBLIC features include lightweight, durable steel-frame, along with aluminum chain guard and sturdy steel fenders to keep your clothes clean. You can add any PUBLIC rack to carry a pannier, basket, or bungee your items. The easy-shifting, seven-speed city derailleur system takes you virtually anywhere and back, even up and down the toughest hills of San Francisco. We make delivery and assembly easy for you, including our unique Ready to Ride option that allows anyone to assemble a PUBLIC bike at their home or office in minutes (tools included).
