PUBLIC Metal Bike Basket

Thanks so much for your interest in PUBLIC! The PUBLIC metal basket is currently only compatible with our rear rack with spring clip, check those out here: http://publicbikes.com/Racks.

Unfortunately, this basket can not attach to any of the front racks we currently offer due to compatibility issues with the integrated quick-release system.

The basket could be attached by securing it to the Porteur rack with zip ties, but this would obviously be more of a permanent fixture on the bike. We hope this information has helped!

We'll also be introducing a revised version of rear rack for 2016 that will also be compatible with the PUBLIC metal basket. We anticipate that these will be available for purchase through our web store in 1-2 weeks.

However, we do have the ability to ship your bike 99% assembled to your doorstep with our Ready to Ride shipping option and all of our bikes come with a 30-day love it or leave it guarantee; If you're not 100% satisfied with any item, simply return it to us within 30 days for a exchange or refund (less shipping and assembly cost*) Though we hope you will love it and decide to keep it, we understand how life works.

Our rear rack with spring clip is rated for a weight capacity of up to 50lbs, but we would likely not recommend exceeding a weight of ~ 30lbs or so with the PUBLIC metal basket.
