Michael Vanderbyl 40 X 60 Canvas

For 20 X 30 Unframed or 20 x 30 Framed, see below

A 40 x 60 poster might be the best $350 you can spend to improve to your life. I'm serous. Find a place in your home or office that will handle a big bold image. Get one you love. See it. Meditate on it everyday. Think different.

Vanderbyl, perhaps because of his Dutch heritage, takes a friendly and personal attitude towards bikes and reinforces a fact that we all know - bikes make people smile. And maybe because he wears glasses himself, he has morphed the bike form into a pair of spectacles. A master of abstraction and minimalism, he has reduced the bike to its simple geometry but added depth and a splash of the natural world (or a nod towards surrealism) with the bluish tint of a sky and cloud-like background. That makes us smile as well.

San Francisco Bay Area based Michael Vanderbyl, founded of Vanderbyl Design, a multidisciplinary studio with expertise in identity, print and digital communications, interiors, showrooms, retail spaces, signage, textiles, fashion apparel, packaging, furniture and product design. His work is included in the permanent collections of several museums and featured in national and international publications. Currently he presides as Dean of Design at the California College of the Arts. Clients include AIGA, Mohawk Fine Paper Inc., and Teknion Furniture Systems.
