This season, we're fortunate to be offering a unique selection of boots and shoes from local San Francisco designer Martha Davis. True, Italian leather boots aren't what you'd expect to see featured as bike footwear. And in fact, Martha's shoes are usually found in upscale shoe stores, like Gimme Shoes in San Francisco (or in other chic boutiques around the world). But we think it's a good idea to draw attention to new, local designers. And Martha's boots and our bikes go together especially well.

Here's what Martha says regarding her work: "I think of shoes as architecture for the feet. Both share similar purposes of protection, organization and personality." We couldn't agree more. Women often tell us the design of our bikes encourages wearing these type of shoes. You can often cover greater distances in heels on a bike than by walking. When youre riding a bike to a dressy event for example, it often means you don't have to walk down into a subway or hike long distances to a garage.
