The Kyptonite Evolution Series 4 with Cable lock was designed for areas prone to moderate or high theft. We recommend using a u-lock for your frame and a cable lock for your seat and wheels. The Kyptonite Evolution Series 4 u-lock is large enough to easily fit around a bike frame and a bike rack, stop sign, or parking meter. The cable is long enough to wrap around your seat or a wheel.

Finding a smart place to lock your bike can be tricky and hard to come by on streets with heavy bike traffic, like Valencia Street in San Francisco or Bedford Street in Brooklyn. To properly lock your bike, the frame (not fenders, rack, or chain guard) needs to be locked to a permanent street fixture, ideally a bike rack, but stop signs and parking meters work too.
