John Bielenberg Framed 20 X 30 Poster

For 20x30 Unframed or 40x60 Canvas, see below

Bielenberg's personal tagline and advice to us all is to "think wrong". So it is fitting that he has crafted an unorthodox narrative: the bike in a bandage wrapped Christo like packaging. There is an obvious reference to ghost bikes. The powerful Red Cross is there to remind us of the beauty and danger inherent in the world of city biking. By pairing these two images backed by a concrete wall he asks us to think carefully about our public urban environment and world. Bielenberg is a lifetime bicyclist who can be seen riding around on a sleek carbon fiber race bike or a relaxed bamboo frame fixed gear of this own making. We've never seen him wrap himself for a ride but it would not surprise us.

John Bielenberg is a co-founder of FUTURE, a San Francisco based design group that takes a radical humanitarian approach to problem solving. Bielenberg also founded Project M, a program designed to inspire and educate young designers, writers, photographers, and filmmakers by proving that design can have a positive and significant impact on the world.
