PUBLIC Photo ContestTo celebrate the launch of PUBLIC WORKS, we're holding photo contests in two categories PUBLIC Choice and People's Choice and giving away a number of prizes. Our Grand Prize for both PUBLIC Choice and People's Choice winners is a new PUBLIC T7 or PUBLIC S7. We're asking you to explore the same theme we asked of our PUBLIC WORKS designers - interpret the concept of "public" with a vision to reclaim urban streets, sidewalks and spaces for walking, biking and other social purposes. Participants can opt to enter the PUBLIC Choice or People's Choice contest or both (details below). Deadline to submit photo is December 31, 2012. See details below. The Grand Prizes - A New PUBLIC BikeWe consider our new PUBLIC S7 and PUBLIC T7 our most PUBLIC and democratic bikes. They come in Red and Golden Gate Bridge colors, as well as classic Silver and Black. We don't think you'll find a comparable multi-speed, steel-frame city bike with matching fenders, chain guard, and kickstand at this affordable price. It is truly Mass Transit for One.   Second Prizes - PUBLIC WORKS Posters & T-ShirtsWe will select at least three (3) Second Prize winners to receive one (1) 20x30 Unframed PUBLIC WORKS poster of their choice OR two (2) PUBLIC WORKS t-shirts of their choice. Take a look at how 27 international designers interpreted the concept of "public" with a vision to reclaim urban streets, sidewalks and spaces for walking, biking and other social purposes. Bonus Runner Up PrizesWe're also giving away PUBLIC Bells to five (5) people who sign up for our newsletter, likes us on Facebook, follows us on Twitter, and/or mentions this contest on their Facebook or Twitter feeds before December 31, 2012. If you do all of these simple things, you'll increase your chances of winning. If you're already signed up to our newsletter or connected with us via social media, you're automatically entered. Submit up to two (2) photos to contest@publicbikes.com. Photos should explore the concept of "public" with a vision to reclaim urban streets, sidewalks and spaces for walking, biking and other social purposes. PUBLIC Staff will select the winner on Jan 3rd, 2013. PEOPLE'S CHOICE
Upload one (1) photo to People's Choice Award contest on our Facebook page. The People’s Choice Award will be selected based on most “votes” on our Facebook. Have fun. Be creative. Get your friends to vote for your photo. This photo can be the same or different than the photo you sent to contest@publicbikes.com.
