PUBLIC Photo Contest

To celebrate our first full year of business, and to thank you, we’re throwing a photo contest and giving away a number of prizes. Our Grand Prizes are free weekend stays at luxury hotels that offer PUBLIC bikes as an amenity. The PUBLIC Photo Contest has four themes: Bicycles, Public Space, Art, and Fun. Submit a photo to each theme and increase your chances. Deadline to submit photos is July 31, 2011.  See details below.

HOW TO ENTER

Submit photos to contest@publicbikes.com.

Indicate the theme you wish to enter.
Themes: Art, Bicycles, Public Spaces, Fun

The themes are broad and the contest is not limited to pictures of bicycles. Any photos taken in the Public are welcome.

Upload a photo to People's Choice Award contest on our Facebook page. The People’s Choice Award will be selected based on most “votes” on our Facebook. The People's Choice Award is meant to be wide open for any kind of photo. Have fun. Be creative. Get your friends to vote for your photo.

 

  • What kind of photos are we looking for? We invite you to think outside of the box. The photo contest is not limited to pictures of bicycles or PUBLIC products. Show us how you see things a little differently.
  • Winners are selected based on originality.
  • You can only submit one photo per theme, plus one photo to People's Choice Award. That means you could submit up to five different photos to enter.
  • Contest deadline is July 31, 2011.
  • Photos should be sized 300dpi, 8 inches on the longest side.
  • Contest open to amateurs and professionals but the photo must be your own photo.
  • By submitting a photo to our contest, you are giving permission for PUBLIC to use your photo for promotional purposes in any type of media, including PUBLIC's website, newsletter, blog, or social media pages. PUBLIC will properly credit your name with any photo that we publish.

Bonus Second Prize Entries

We're also giving away an additional $100 PUBLIC merchandise credit to five (5) people who sign up for our newsletter, likes us on Facebook, follows us on Twitter, and/or mentions us on their Facebook or Twitter feeds before July 31. If you do all of these simple things, you'll increase your chances of winning. If you're already signed up to our newsletter or connected with us via social media, you're automatically entered.
